Over the course of five days from October 4-8, 2010, dozens of events and activities showcased the leading ideas, thinkers and companies on the future of Marketing. Panels, summits, roundtables, user groups, virtual events, demos, parties organized throughout greater Boston – all focused on what’s new and what’s next in Marketing.
DIGMA: Design Means Business 2010

‘Design Means Business’ was a day-long gathering of celebrated business leaders sharing compelling stories and inside data on how design has strengthened their companies. A roster of CEO-level speakers ranging from ZipCar to Reebok, and Genzyme to Sonos generously explained, in detail, how design can increase market share, profits, and productivity, in small and large-scale programs. The conference was moderated by national media figures, and included in-depth case studies and panel discussions.
The Design Industry Group of Massachusetts (DIGMA) is an initiative of the statewide design industries to organize and promote the Massachusetts design cluster as integral to the state’s economy. DIGMA enables diverse design industries including advertising, architecture, graphic design, industrial design, interior design, landscape design, and specialized design services such as fashion, textiles and lighting design – to speak with one powerful and influential voice. The HOW Design Conference provides a hands-on, educational program to enable designers to better balance the three key components of graphic design: creativity, business and technology.
