Free wi-fi, but $6 for a cup of coffee?

Here’s the situation: you own a coffee shop and offer your patrons free wi-fi. But here’s the problem… you offer free wi-fi, and nobody buys the coffee. So what’s a cafe owner to do?

Netherlands coffee chain CoffeeCompany decided that if everyone was in their coffee shops mooching some sweet sweet free wi-fi, they might as well have a little fun with their freeloaders. The CoffeeCompany actually started renaming their wireless networks with advertisements for their products. Simple and ingenious (…and free).
