Netvibes
I can’t recommend this site enough. Netvibes is basically a RSS feed aggregator… most news/sports/entertainment/blog sites have RSS feeds, which you can add to your Netvibes account. You can organize your feeds any way you like, and there are a ton of useful widgets that you can add to your tabbed pages that range anywhere from language translators to weather maps and forecasts.
Coming soon from Netvibes is the release of their Ginger version, which promises to add even more functionality to their product.
Netvibes has changed the way I use the Internet- I think I’ve been using it for over a year now. I have about 30 feeds organized across various tabs that I check daily. Since Netvibes is Internet-based, you can log into it from anywhere (even a mobile device) and all of your feeds will be there!
This is one of those things you didn’t know you needed until you try it out; it has most definitely made my life easier! Instead of checking 20 websites over the course of a day, I load my Netvibes once in the morning and it refreshes as new posts are uploaded.
