Project Description:
Build Online is Shawmut Design and Construction’s seasonal external-facing newsletter, established in mid-2011. In late 2010, I successfully sold this concept to senior management, and from then on, design, development, and content selection took place. Working closely with a Marketing Director and Photographer/Copywriter, our first issue was emailed (via ConstantContact) to nearly 9,000 recipients, and got a 25% open rate.
The goal of Build Online is to inform past/current/future clients and business partners of recent project wins, completions, and “people” stories. Tips from company experts are also included in the newsletter to add value. Links within the stories of the newsletter direct readers to visit Shawmut’s website; all press releases are cross-promoted through Shawmut’s Facebook and LinkedIn pages as well.
The code for Build Online was written with maximum browser and email client compatibility in mind, and was written with strict compliance to ConstantContact’s custom coding requirements.
