- Started an in-house marketing and creative department from previously outsourced job functions; purchased necessary assets and hired personnel as needed
- Directed the marketing, creative, and communications strategies of the Holland-SheltAir Aviation Group, which consisted of 33 separate regional businesses on airports across Florida, Georgia, New York, and Puerto Rico.
- During my time with this company, my marketing efforts contributed to the company adding on 7 locations across 3 states, increasing the annual revenue from approximately $50–$180 million
- Management: Directly managed a department staff of 2 full-time employees, and indirectly managed the marketing and sales efforts of 13 regional representatives; managed all print and promotional vendors, as well as contracted marketing staff
- Marketing: Worked with company ownership to develop and execute all short and long-term marketing campaigns across multiple media; campaigns regularly included company expansion, trade show attendance promotion, participation in nationally-recognized customer service surveys (ie. Pro Pilot’s PRASE; AIN’s FBO Survey), and special events and promotions as needed
- Business Development: Planned and produced all requests for proposals (and proposal packages) relating to new construction, business acquisition, and service agreements; worked with various municipal, state, and federal agencies during company expansion into new airports
- Communications: Responsible for the design and copywriting of all internal and external communication initiatives to include: newsletters, press releases, and digital marketing channels
- Social Media: Developed, then executed and maintained a targeted social media plan to inform and engage customers across all business lines through the use of Twitter and a company blog
- Creative Direction: Supported over 20 internal stakeholders in the production of web sites, collateral materials, point-of-purchase displays, standards guides, advertisements, training materials, sales proposals, and signage
- Web Design/Development: Developed code for, and designed the user interface for the company’s web site, intranet, and blog; through the regular publishing of content to the company’s blog, drove organic search traffic to the company’s website
- Trade Show Management: Coordinated all aspects of national and international industry trade shows; promoted the company while gathering new business leads
- Customer Service: Worked closely with the Director of Customer Service, and Director of Corporate Training in presenting several service training sessions to customer service representatives on staff, outlining topics on coaching, customer interaction basics, and customer retention techniques
- Safety: Assisted the Director of Safety and Training in developing materials used to train operational personnel, including signage, forms, and a three-week long “Safety Awareness Tour” visiting 13 business locations throughout Florida and New York
- Operations: Regularly assisted key staff in the base auditing process; audit points included safety, equipment maintenance, facility operation, staff training, and branding compliance
