Event Management
The following NBAA/CBAA-sponsored forums and trade shows were events in which I led the budgeting, planning, and execution of my company’s (SheltAir Aviation Services) presence to include the coordination of all branding materials, staff, and travel arrangements. Please note the “Scope” for each event for specific details on my involvement and the event itself.
National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Annual Meeting and Convention

- 2009: Orlando, FL (Coordinated event, but did not attend.)
Scope: Each event is three days long, hosting 25,000 attendees, and over 1,000 exhibiting companies. I was responsible for managing 8-12 staff members at these events and 2-3 10′ x 10′ exhibition spaces. The NBAA Annual Meetings and Conventions are the premier annual meeting place for the business aviation community. These three day long events bring together business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, corporate aviation department personnel and all manner of people involved in nearly all aspects of business aviation.
NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Conference

Scope: Each event is three days long, hosting 2,500 attendees, and over 350 exhibiting companies. I was responsible for managing 3-8 staff members at these events and one 10′ x 10′ exhibition space. The NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference is an annual (three day) educational event that provides timely and valuable information on topics of interest to those responsible for coordinating the use of business aircraft. The event includes hundreds of exhibits from aviation products and services providers.
NBAA Business Aviation Regional Forums

Scope: Each event is one day long, hosting 600-1,000 attendees, and 50-75 exhibiting companies. I was responsible for managing 1-4 staff members at these events and one 10′ x 10′ exhibition space. NBAA’s Business Aviation Regional Forums are designed to meet the local needs of these businesses by providing a venue for exchanging information about specific airport policies, environmental protocols, safety and security proposals, taxation and other issues. At the same time, these one day events offer an opportunity to underscore the importance of the industry to local leaders in business and government. NBAA hosts several Regional Forums each year, which bring together local owners, operators, manufacturers, customers and other industry personnel.
Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) Annual Meeting and Convention

Scope: Each event is three days long, hosting 1,000 attendees, and over 150 exhibiting companies. I was responsible for managing 2-4 staff members at these events, and one 10′ x 10′ exhibition space. The CBAA Annual Meetings are the premier annual meeting place for the Canadian business aviation community. These one day long events bring together business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, corporate aviation department personnel and all manner of people involved in nearly all aspects of Canadian business aviation.
